Throwing - Classes for Children (7+). Learn to make pots on a Potter's Wheel. Emphasis is on learning good technical skills - centering clay on the wheel, opening up, bringing up the sides, and shaping the pot. The stoneware pots will be glazed with food safe glazes. Finished pots are great for gifts. Small class size for personal attention. Will schedule classes for 3 or 4 students - great for family groups.

Registration Information

Four weeks Throw for three classes and glaze during the last class. Students make an average of 6-9 usable pots that are food safe and great for gifts.
Cost: $110.00 per 4 class session

The following classes meet from 4:00-5:30 with some flexibility for school release times.

Thursdays -    Feb 2, 9, 16, 23
Wednesdays - Mar 7, 14, 21, 28
Wednesdays - May 2, 9, 16, 23
Thursdays-    May 3, 10, 17, 24

Spring break - Choose the session that best fits your schedule. Use the wheel on Mon, Tues, and Wed and return the following week to glaze. 3:15-4:45.

Session 2: April 9,10,11 and 19
